Fire rated junction boxes and enclosures from Ce-Tek

When designing a new lighting scheme for applications that require the use of fire rated cables, it is sometimes overlooked thatthe enclosure or junction box is an integral key part of the overall electrical scheme.

Ce-Tek manufactures two series of fire rated junction boxes:

-CEP which is made from glass reinforced polyester with thick walls.
-CEX which is made from 316L stainless steel.

These two ranges have been passed for use to IEC331 at 750°C for 3 hours
and to BS6387 CWZ at 950°C for 3 hours (C is resistance to fire alone, W is resistance to fire with water and Z is resistance to fire and mechanical shock).

Both series comply with BS8519-2010 for life safety.

Ce-Tek products are to be found in the Channel Tunnel, the Channel Tunnel Rail Link project, London Underground,  Thames service tunnels, M25 Motorway tunnels and canal tunnels for Network Rail.
