Aluminium hand controller enclosures

Rolec has extended its ‘mobilCASE’ range with new models suitable for cable connections. These hand controller enclosures are designed for housing electrical and electronic equipment such as data-collection units, machine controllers, robot programmers and test and measurement devices.

The construction consists of a single- or two-piece anodised aluminium case body, with internal guide rails. Two black die-cast aluminium end panels are fitted to the extrusions by four self-tapping screws. The cases can be sealed up to IP 65 protection class.

The innovative ‘mobilCASE’ design incorporates a round edge section, which, apart from being easy to hold, also acts as a battery compartment. New models are now offered with an M16 cable gland fitted in place of the battery compartment, allowing cable connection to the host machine.

Twelve sizes are offered with external dimensions from 118 x 120 x 80 mm to 168 x 240 x 130 mm. The recessed top section can be used for mounting push-button switches, membrane keypads, and joy-stick or tracker ball controls etc.

ROLEC can supply the ‘mobilCASE’ enclosures with additional holes for push-buttons, connectors and cable glands etc., plus silk-screen printed legends and logos. Standard prices start at £30.
