‘SNAP’ miniature remote control enclosures from TEKO

TEKO has introduced the miniature ‘SNAP’ series enclosures, which been designed for housing small electronic devices. Typical applications will include RF and infra-red remote control systems, measurement devices, medical and wellness equipment, detection units, personal security electronics etc.
‘SNAP’ cases consist of three parts: the top and base mouldings and a clip-on battery compartment lid. The integral battery compartment will accept a 9V cell. The cases are assembled by a single self-tapping screw. Internal mounting studs are provided in the top moulding for fitting the PCB. The external dimensions are 82 mm x 60 mm x 25 mm.

The cases are moulded in light grey, RAL 9018 or black, RAL 9004 ABS (UL 94 HB). The top panel features a display window aperture for mounting LCD or LED displays. A press-in transparent polycarbonate window is also supplied for protecting the displays. A red plastic end panel is fitted in the open end of the enclosure and is designed for infra-red applications. This reduces the circuit complexity and cost as the infra-red signal device can be fitted directly on the PCB rather than in the end of the enclosure.

TEKO can supply the ‘SNAP’ enclosures with additional holes for push-buttons, connectors etc., plus silk-screen printed legends and logos, and EMC shielding. The cases can also be moulded or painted in alternative colours. Standard prices start from £3.17.
