Oriental Motor’s new multifunctional, easy-to-use, brushless DC drive has IP65 protection for both the motor and the detachable operation panel. The drive is available with output powers of 30 W, 60 W and 120 W. The detachable operation panel offers the possibility to display the rotation speed in r/min, the conveyor speed in m/min or the working load of the drive in percent in distance to up to 5 m from the controller. The speed can be controlled with a DC voltage signal (5 VDC or 10 VDC), the internal potentiometer or an external potentiometer. Furthermore, it’s possible to set eight speed profiles into the controller and then control the movement via three inputs. The programming of these profiles can be done with the operation panel and demands no special knowledge. The BLF-Series also contains a speed-teaching-function, the easiest way to adjust the drive to the application. Various protection functions and displays in the operational panel support the user regarding machine safety and trouble shooting. The motor is available with a spur gear as well as a new space saving flat gear in eight gear ratios from i = 5 to i = 200. Compared to the maximum torque of the spur gear-type with 27 Nm, the flat gear-type realises up to 68 Nm.
