Timing belt jointing system is now available on a larger range of polyurethane belts

Transmission Developments is able to supply Breco polyurethane timing belts with a manual jointing system for applications where normal replacement or assembly of power transmission belt systems necessitates time consuming or cost prohibitive work. Typical applications are for low-rated drives requiring on-site installation work, where retrofitting the jointed belt offers significant time-savings and cost advantages. Jointed timing belts can also be used as "replacement elements" for preventative maintenance and to prevent impending downtime following malfunction and avoid resulting total belt failure.

Already available and well proven on the Breco ATN range, the jointing system has now been added for Breco T10 and AT 10 belts in widths of 50, 75 and 100 mm for both belt types.

The BRECO mechanical joint comprises of a prepared, finger jointed belt of the required length normally with 10 tooth clamps and matching top plates with options of normal or countersinking screws to join the whole system together. All joint parts can be suited to food quality materials if required.

The jointing system retains all of the advantages of the Breco polyurethane timing belt technology with its bifilar S & Z wound multiple steel tension members providing superior belt tracking with longer life, reduced pulley edge wear and reduced noise characteristics.
