OKW’s advanced ‘ERGO-CASE’ enclosures have been designed for strap-on electronic devices. These ergonomically contoured cases can be comfortably worn on a wrist or around the waist. Typical applications will include mobile data-collection units, medical and wellness devices and test and measurement equipment.
‘ERGO-CASES’ are moulded in ABS (UL 94 HB) in off-white, RAL 9002, or black, RAL 9005. The assembly consists of a top and base part, and an optional snap-on battery compartment lid. Screw-in battery cradles are ordered separately for one or two 9V cells, or four 1.5V AA cells.
The top part has a recessed area for mounting a membrane keypad or product label, or a removable display panel in ABS or transparent polycarbonate. A range of eight sizes is offered with external dimension from 80 x 80 x 32 mm to 150 x 200 x 54 mm. Screw pillars are provided in the top and base sections for fitting PCBs, keypads or displays.
The accessory eyelet kit, and arm or belt strap kits, in lengths or 450mm or 1100mm, must be fitted to the case if it is to be worn by the user. Alternatively, the cases can even be wall mounted using the optional wall mounting kits.
OKW can supply the ‘ERGO-CASES’ with additional holes for push-buttons, connectors and displays etc., plus silk-screen printed legends and logos, and EMC shielding. The cases can also be moulded or painted in alternative colours. Standard prices start at £9.50.
