Harting adds versatile configuration options to unmanaged Ethernet switches

The SmartCon range of Ethernet switches from Harting overcome the traditional limitations of unmanaged industrial Ethernet switches by offering a wide range of configuration options.
Whereas most unmanaged Ethernet switches allow the user to program a limited number of settings such as auto-negotiation, port enable/disable or parallel port redundancy, the SmartCon switches offer more than 100 configuration options, including programmable functions such as ‘mirroring’ and redundancy between ports.

All SmartCon Ethernet switches are ‘plug & play’ capable as standard, and can be configured from a PC, laptop or hand-held device via the front-panel USB port. The range includes the ESC TP10 (ten copper links), ESC TP08/FX02-SC (eight copper and two fibre) and the ESC TP06/FX03-SC (six copper and three fibre).
