Festo roadshow takes latest-generation process automation to water utilities

Festo has announced that its mobile exhibition vehicle - known as the Technoferium - will be visiting UK water utility sites during July. The roadshow provides an ideal way for managers and engineers working in the water and wastewater industries to familiarise themselves with the latest developments in process automation technology. The Technoferium hosts a range of cutting-edge automation technology and is fully equipped with working models, multimedia displays and the latest pneumatic systems developed specifically for the water process industry. The on-board presentations include a didactic training rig for process automation, and training specialists are available to show visitors how to successfully apply the technology to water treatment works. The principal focus is on how Festo's services, training and consultancy can help water utilities cut their operational and support costs. The service presentations are supported by product displays that include the latest process actuators and sensor boxes for butterfly, gate and ball valves, GEMU aseptic valves, ATEX certified products, fieldbus technology and remote pilot valve terminals.
