HBM provides reliable calibration service

HBM provides working standard calibration of Spider8 or MGCplus amplifiers at its Darmstadt facilities or at the user’s premises, to ensure reliable and accurate test results as well as compliance with ISO 9001 which makes calibration of amplifiers mandatory. End users benefit with on-site calibration because the amplifier downtime is considerably reduced. In this service, an HBM service engineer visits your company with a complete, flexible, mobile calibration tower, including the calibration standards, on an agreed date.
The equipment used for on-site calibration is the same as the equipment used in HBM’s in-house laboratory in Darmstadt. HBM representatives throughout Europe offer a calibration service that complies with the same standard. On completion of the calibration a certificate is issued that specifies all test values and the traceable calibration standards that have been used. The declaration of conformity shows whether the equipment complies with the manufacturer’s specifications. An OK/NOK evaluation is displayed for each channel individually with the tested properties evaluated as OK/NOK. Absolute deviations within the permissible limits are displayed graphically. This enables users to recognize clearly whether the amplifier properties that have been tested meet the specifications. Users are sent a printout of the working standard calibration certificate while a PDF file is held on HBM’s electronic archive that can be made available on request. HBM’s calibration laboratory was the first to be accredited by DKD (German Calibration Service) in Germany. Accreditation conforming with ISO 17025 covers the measured quantities of voltage ratio (mV/V), force, torque, and pressure.
