The new Mobella ProFlush Latch introduced by Southco Marine provides a stylish and practical solution for sliding doors in entryway applications in a variety of boat sizes and designs. Slam-shut convenience and two levels of keylocking protection enhance performance and security. Watertight mounting and corrosion-resistant construction ensure long-term trouble-free performance and minimise the need for after-sale service.
The stylish curved design of the ProFlush Latch escutcheon plate is executed in a highly polished stainless steel that enhances any installation. The latch's slim profile permits its use on a variety of sliding door applications, including pocket doors. Internal gasketing provides a watertight seal for exterior door environments.
Security is a primary consideration in the ProFlush Latch design. Standard flat-key lockplugs provide keylocking security with the convenience of sharing a common key to operate multiple Southco latches on the same boat. An optional Star Lock is also available for enhanced security. The Star Lock uses a three-axis pin tumbler lockplug that makes it more difficult for unauthorised personnel to gain access. A hand-operated switch on the interior side of the door enables cabin occupants to lock and unlock the latch from the inside, without needing a key.
Installation of the ProFlush Latch is designed to be quick and easy. A simple rectangular panel preparation enables the latch to slide onto the door edge. A single threaded connector anchors the latch to the door panel, while two additional adjustment screws ensure a snug fit. The standard ProFlush latch body accommodates door panels from 10 mm to 13 mm. An optional spacer is also available to adapt the latch to doors as thin as 9 mm.
A recessed handle integrated within the body of the latch provides sufficient grip for easy operation without compromising the thin latch profile for pocket-door applications.
