19in cabinets deliver EMC and IP-rated environmental protection

The robust floor-standing VERAK EMC and IP-rated enclosures from APW Electronics Srl are available in three versions: VERAK EMC provides protection from radio-frequency interference; VERAK IP provides protection to IP65; and VERAK EMC/IP is a combination enclosure that provides both levels of protection.

The range is available in a variety of sizes from 27U to 47U height, with widths and depth from 600 to 800mm. The enclosure's 2mm steel framework delivers exceptional strength and rigidity and is rated at 750kg static load capacity.

The VERAK EMC rack delivers more than 80dB attenuation at 100MHz and 40dB at 1GHz. The EMC gaskets provide electrical continuity between panels and are punched within the EMC screen, making it impossible to remove them without a tool.

The range is available with either steel or glass front and rear doors, and the hinges can be changed from left to right without compromising the IP or EMC sealing. The EMC panels and doors are double skinned, consisting of an inner conductive panel and an outer painted protective one. Cables can be brought into the rack via the top, bottom and through 5U- or 10U-high recessed cable-entry panels, fitted above or below shortened front or rear doors.

The screened gland plates provide a cable entry capability without compromising the EMC performance. VERAK cabinets can also be fitted with solid or ventilated top covers and bases without reducing the enclosure's EMC performance.
