New tubular EMI filter mitigates electrical noise

The CORCOM WG series EMI filter from Tyco Electronics was recently introduced to the electronics market. The WG filter is a high performance EMI filter for applications requiring a low-cost method of providing industry compliance for conducted EMI/RFI emissions. Providing a broad range of low frequency common mode performance, the new filter series is available in six standard versions. Typically, the devices can be used in household appliances, motor controllers, office equipment and test and measurement equipment.

CORCOM WG series filters are packaged in an industry standard tubular design and have full agency approval from UL, CSA and VDE. The product is RoHS compliant and is equipped with five 0.250 FASTON quick connect terminals and an M8 x 1.25” mounting stud.

WG series filters are rated for up to 16A at 250 VAC 50/60 Hz. Leakage current ranges from 0.10mA to 1.27mA depending on the model selected. Insertion loss data is available at www.corcom.com
