HBM has launched an EasyScript module for its catmanEasy measurement software that enables tasks like measurement, computation, and analysis procedures to be automated easily. The EasyScript module meets the needs of customers that demand a data acquisition and analysis solution that can be customized to individual requirements. EasyScript uses VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) for its script language. This is ideal for occasional programmers who have some experience in writing macros in VBA for Microsoft Office programs.
EasyScript provides a Code Builder that supports the programming of customized sequences. It displays all available functions in plain text, and in an ordered structure. Once a function is selected, EasyScript generates the required line of code. Available objects and parameters for command entry are provided by the software’s so-called ‘Intellisense’ functionality.
The module enables the sequences to be started either automatically, for example, after each measurement, or manually by pressing a key. Customized entry elements such as buttons, check boxes, and entry fields can be positioned on the panels making it possible for users to interact through individual entries.
EasyScript is fully supported with comprehensive documentation and examples showing how to communicate with MS Word or Excel.
The latest version of HBM’s catmanEasy measurement software for acquiring and analyzing data has been available since last December. The software supports smart TEDS transducers enabling the amplifier to be set up and measured values visualized within 18 seconds.
