Xtraflex non-metallic flexible conduit systems from Adaptaflex have been enhanced with the introduction of a new ‘Type RF‘ conduit. This new conduit is constructed from PVC and presents a smooth outer as well as a smooth inner surface, making it suitable for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries. When used with the appropriate straight or 90º Xtraflex fittings, sealing to IP 67 is achieved.
Xtraflex ‘Type RF’ conduit is available in a range of seven sizes with internal diameters between 10mm and 50mm and is supplied on reels of 10m or 30m according to diameter. It is available in black or grey.
This new conduit is suitable for use in static applications in the temperature range -20ºC to +60ºC and in moving applications from -5ºC to +60ºC.
The conduit is UL94VO rated and is self-extinguishing. Whilst extremely tough, Xtraflex ‘Type RF’ is easy to work with and can be cut with a sharp knife. When required, it can be directly buried in concrete.
