Quick-to-install, three-way weatherproof connectors

Hylec-APL is providing electrical installers and OEMs with a smart new three-way cable connector system that provides IP68 ingress protection along with up to six pole connection and a choice between a ‘T’ or ‘Y’ shape design.

The TEETUBE connector is suitable for most outdoor applications, such as outdoor lighting. The IP68 ingress protection rating gives installers confidence that both the T-Shape and Y-Shape TEETUBE’S are safe to be used in even the harshest of conditions.

Both the T-Shape and the Y-Shape models are designed with dome topped cable glands to provide fast and secure connections without the need for specialised tools.

The seal created by the dome topped cable gland also offers a high degree of cable retention which will further protect the connection.

The connectors come in a variety of different sizes, including the Mini-TEETUBE for compact applications. Both the T-shape and the Y-shape can accommodate round cables with diameters between 7mm and 17mm depending on the model.

Units are also available to accommodate a different cable size range at both ends and there are a number of accessories available including an oval seal for flat cables.
