Heavy duty hinges for railway applications

New forged steel and stainless steel hinges from FDB Panel Fittings are suitable for use on railway rolling stock and trackside enclosures.

In these applications their extra thickness of 4mm to 10mm and riveted hinge pins offer rugged in-service performance. They are also expected to be suitable for garage doors, gates, agricultural equipment and so on.

The range includes butt hinges with plain leaves for weld-on fitting, as well as a lift-off style version with brass washer and three countersunk holes in each leaf for screw-on attachment.

The hinges are compatible with other typical anti-vandal and security hardware accessories such as retractable T handles and stainless steel swinghandles.
