Lee Products launches 2-port HDI solenoid valve just 7.1mm in diameter

A new ultra-miniature, high density interface (HDI) solenoid valve for OEM, laboratory, scientific and medical device applications is now available from Lee Products.

This new ‘plug-in’ style valve features a 2-port normally closed design and offers similar performance characteristics to Lee’s traditional 3-port HDI design, but in a smaller, lighter package. The new HDI solenoid valve weighs less than 2.5g, has an overall length of 27.2mm and a diameter of 7.1mm.

The valve is available in options which provide a flow capacity (of air) from 4.4 SLPM at 10 psid, with a Cv = 0.013, up to 14.6 SLPM with a Cv = 0.044) at 10 psid. They have a low internal volume of 28µL, an operating pressure range of 10psi differential with inlet pressures from vacuum to 45 psig and an operating temperature range from 40ºF to 120ºF.
