Relay satisfies need for ac coil version in high power, miniature format

Available from specialist distributor Switchtec, Hongfa's HF115FA miniature high power relay operates from an AC supply. Such ac coil designs are uncommon and difficult to manufacture, thus the relay enables manufacturers
and end users to use a small, high power relay where an ac supply is available or preferred.

Aimed at OEMs, CEMs, panel builders and equipment manufacturers, the HF115FA is suitable for a diverse range of applications such as control panels, pumping applications, lift manufacturers, stair lifts and vending machines.
The low profile relay measures just 29.0x12.7x15.7mm high, and three versions of the relay are available; a 12A SPDT, an 8A DPDT, and a 16A SPDT with full terminal compatibility with industry standard sockets. Exhibiting
versatility, the HF115FA is available with coil voltages of 12, 24, 115 and 230VAC.

The high performance relay features a 5kV dielectric strength (between coils and contacts), a specified creepage distance of 10mm, and sealed IP67 and flux proof versions are available. To compliment the range there are three styles of socket available to fit the single and double pole versions. The 14FF-1Z-C2, 14FF-2Z-C2 and the 14FF-2Z-C3 sockets are all supplied with an ejector/retaining clip. Also available is an eight-way jumper link, suppression modules and PCB sockets. Approved to UL/CSA and VDE, the fully RoHS compliant HF115FA relay joins the Hongfa 115F family of relays to complete and complement the range. The low profile range of relays is colour coded for AC and DC types for at a glance recognition. All ac models are white and all dc models are black.

The process of developing a low profile ac coil is difficult and time consuming, but Hongfa has drawn on its considerable expertise in relay manufacturing to develop the AC coil to fit into the HF115FA low profile
relay. All versions of the Hongfa HF115FA are available ex stock from Switchtec.
