To reduce component and assembly costs, the Spirol Industries ranges of solid pins has now been extended to a wider range of material specifications. They are now available in 300 Series Austenitc Stainless Steel and High Strength Alloys as well as traditional low carbon steels and alloy steels. Different finishes can also be applied including zinc plating, phosphate coatings and passivated steels. This makes the range suitable for an even wider range of fastening applications within engineering assemblies and compact production. 300 Series Austenitic Stainless Steel solid pins achieve a minimum 825 N/mm2 tensile strength and AISI6150 hardened High Strength Alloy Steel achieves 1380 N/mm2.
Solid straight pins, knurled pins, headed pins and drive studs make up the Spirol range. Each is offered in a range of standard sizes as well as special sizes and configurations including different knurl patterns, annular grooves, barbs, collars, long
Changers and spherical ends.
Spirol will recommend the most cost-effective solid pin, solution using in depth knowledge of installation and assembly processes. Requests such as performance, east of production, automatic feeding and orientation as well as installation procedures will be taken into consideration.
