New and improved desktop instrument and 19in rack cases

CamdenBoss has introduced a new and improved range of desktop, instrument and metal cases that are suitable for a wide range of applications.

More competitively priced than the company’s previous generation of products, the cases are manufactured in the UK and offer features such as improved push-fit ¼-turn assembly bolts and in-house customisation at CamdenBoss.

The range of desktop instrument cases is designed for test, measurement, display and control applications and features functional push-fit construction for quick and easy assembly.

Manufactured from moulded high impact ABS (UL 94 V0) and epoxy coated steel (lid & base), additional features include screwless assembly via ¼-turn lock pins, horizontal PCB guides in side profiles, ventilation slots in lid and base and the cases come with front handles as standard plus a choice of four non-slip feet or two non-slip feet and two tilting feet.

Two improved ranges of 19in enclosures are also available. The 19in rack mount case is designed for electronic and telecommunications equipment being installed into 19in cabinets.

Offering depths of 260 and 360mm, easy assembly, accessibility and strong construction, these 1U, 2U and 3U high units offer cost effective installation with front and rear internal supports for mounting of trays or PCBs.

Standard colours include clear or black anodised with options including front handles that can be mounted and disassembled without removing the panel. Various customisation options are available including different sizes, colours, cut-outs, mounting and printing.

Sturdy lightweight 19in enclosures in the new range are designed to accept full width 84E subracks and standard plug-in units. Offering heights from 2U to 9U and constructed from 1mm thick steel, these 19in enclosures feature tilt-feet (front) and fixed feet (rear), ventilation slots in base and rear panel and recessed side handles for comfort and ease of transport.

The enclosures are supplied flat-packed with an open front design for various front panel options that can be ordered separately.
