Extended range of ‘UNIMET’ aluminium enclosures

OKW has added five new models to the METcase ‘UNIMET’ range of aluminium instrument cases. These stylish and robust enclosures have been designed for desktop and portable electronics. Typical applications will include test and measurement systems, medical and wellness devices, laboratory equipment, peripherals and interfaces etc.

‘UNIMET’ enclosures consist of a die-cast front bezel which locates onto a fabricated aluminium case body. A rear panel is also supplied, and this is located in a recessed area for protection of the power inlets, on/off switches and connectors. The front bezel is painted window grey, RAL 7040 and the other parts are painted light grey, RAL 7035. Four non-slip self-adhesive rubber feet are also included.

For 2006, the ‘UNIMET’ series is now available in two new sizes: Size 5 - 150 x 250 x 260 mm and Size 6 - 150 x 350 x 260 mm. These are also offered with a tilt and swivel carry handle bar, as is for the first time Size 1 – 50 x 230 x 190 mm.

Anodised aluminium front panels are offered as accessories. These are supplied with two clip-on ABS cover trims which hide the case fixing screws, and also allow fitting of a membrane keypad or product label. The ABS trims are moulded in light grey, RAL 7035.


OKW can supply the ‘UNIMET’ enclosures with additional holes for push-buttons, connectors and displays etc., plus silk-screen printed legends and logos. The cases can also be painted in other colours. Standard prices start at £45.
