New lightweight rugged tablets from Captec

Captec has introduced two light weight rugged tablets for mobile and field operations, combining both a light weight, compact design with rugged construction.

Captec’s new light weight rugged tablets have full MIL-STD810G shock and vibration protection plus IP65 dust and water protection, providing dependable operation, even with the roughest handling in all weathers.

Two 7in models, one for Windows, the other for Android, both have toughened glass projected capacitive multi-touch displays, with sunlight readable options, giving efficient user experience in all conditions.

Hot swap batteries (Windows model) and long battery life provides uninterrupted operation avoiding down time at critical moments. A single charge will give more than a working day’s operation. The Android version gives over six hours operation on a single charge.

Versatile connectivity is provided by USB, Micro SD and SIM connections plus extensive wireless connectivity, ensuring communication can be maintained at all times. A wide range of accessories and support specialist field applications.

These light weight rugged tablets are ideal for applications, such as field service and mobile work force management.
