By working closely with IOSH (the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health), Pilz Automation Technology has developed a two-day Managing Safely re-certification course that incorporates a one-day module on Machinery and Work Equipment Safety. The Managing Safely elements of this course are presented by Ivan Green, a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner, and the machinery safety aspects are handled by an expert from Pilz.
The course perfectly matches the needs of managers who would benefit from updating their existing IOSH Managing Safely certification and who have additional responsibilities for supplying, buying, installing, using, maintaining, dismantling or disposing of machinery or work equipment.
Attendees are given the opportunity to refresh their knowledge of the IOSH Managing Safely syllabus (which is likely to have been updated significantly since they obtained their original certificate), as well as gain valuable knowledge about their legal responsibilities with respect to machinery and work equipment.
Successful candidates receive a new IOSH certificate in 'Managing Safely combined with Machinery and Work Equipment Safety'.
Courses are run each month, and a limited number of places are still available for the one taking place on 25/26 May 2006.
