Radiation-resistant accelerometers for the nuclear industry

Monitran’s MTN/1100-R accelerometers are suitable for long-term vibration monitoring in high radiation environments.

Monitran has introduced the MTN/1100-R series of radiation-resistant, constant current accelerometers for use in nuclear power stations.

The sensors, which are top-entry and sealed to IP67, have a radiation resistance of 10Mrads and are well-suited for long-term vibration monitoring in a variety of harsh radiation environments.

They have a frequency response of 2Hz to 10kHz ±5%, a dynamic range of ±80g and a standard sensitivity of 100mV/g; with other sensitivities available upon request.

Mounting options include ¼in-28UNF, for the MTN/1100-R, and Monitran’s own Quick Fit mount, for the MTN/1100Q-R.

The MTN/1100-R series datasheet can be downloaded here.
