Seal-Lock is a one-piece, self-locking and reusable fastener from
Bollhoff that can seal against gas or fluid pressures up to 450bar, even
after the joint has been disassembled and re-tightened up to five times.
The phosphate coated or zinc plated Grade 8 mild steel body has an
under-head recess that carries a tough polyamide sealing element. The
M6-16 flanged nuts run freely until torque is applied, when, on
metal-to-metal contact, the sealing element is compressed between bolt
thread, mating surfaces and the side walls of the hole within the
component. The seal is impervious to oils and solvents, while the locking
feature prevents loosening due to shock and vibration.
