Sprnig loaded, LVDT position sensor

Macro Sensors has introduced its GHSE 750 24V, spring-loaded position sensor, offering accurate position measurement in a variety of dimensional gauging applications. Available in ranges of 2.5 mm to 100 mm, the maximum linearity error for a GHSE 750 Series sensor is 0.25% of full scale output. Sensors consist of a spring-loaded shaft running in a precision sleeve bearing, which is connected to the core of an LVDT. Because the core and coil are assembled into a spring-loaded assembly, sensor installation is less complicated and more cost effective than other sensor configurations.

Constructed entirely of stainless steel, these hermetically-sealed 19mm diameter sensors feature coil windings that are sealed against hostile environments to IEC standard IP68. Electrical termination is also made through a glass sealed axial connector.

Operating from a 15-24V dc supply, the internal electronics generate a pre-calibrated 0-10Vdc output - suitable for most PLCs, digital indicators, A/D converters, computer-based data processors, and QC data collection systems. Units can be operated directly from a typical PLC’s 24V power, providing added convenience on the shop floor.
