Motion controller for CNC or machine control up to 32 axes

The new Lenze ETC motion controller offers either CNC or machine control (MC) based operating systems in a compact high performance package that suits up to 32 axes. Two hardware versions are available for either DIN rail mounting or as a plug-in card. The ETC suits from simple positioning through to highly complex three-dimensional path control.

The CNC operating system also includes extensive, expandable command sets for programming according to DIN66025. The MC operating system uses PLC open as its programming basis. With a 32-bit controller, high performance is guaranteed.

Customers can choose hardware solutions from 2 up to 12 axes of servo drive. Two CAN interfaces are provided, one for an I/O bus allowing flexible connection of fieldbus terminals, HMI’s and other signals whilst the second communicates with the drives. In addition there is a TCP/IP communications interface for supervisory PC/IPC’s.

With standard bus communication via CAN and programming of the integrated PLC using the familiar languages of IEC 61131-3, the ETC motion controller is ideal for use in machines with centralised control structures. A matching range of digital and analog I/O modules is also available. Together with the Lenze ECS range of servo controllers and MCS synchronous servo motors, the ETC controllers offer a complete and precise dynamic solution for multi-axis servo control.
