MiniTec offers workstations with Scan2Light product picking systems

MiniTec has teamed up with iX-tech GmbH to offer its SCAN2LIGHT pick-to-light based parts identification picking system with MiniTec workstations.

The system directs the assembly technician to the appropriate parts storage bin through illuminated colour LED-modules that are typically built-into the shelves or are prominently positioned on the MiniTec workstation.

The SCAN2LIGHT system is available in two formats: a simple standalone system that uses a barcode hand scanner for fast set-up of up to 500 light modules, and a full logistics automation system that integrates with existing ERP systems with centralised server software.

MiniTec workstations are available in standard configuration formats or can be individually designed according to customer’s request. Based on MiniTec’s modular profile system range of machine building components, workstations are easily adapted for the specific task in hand with height adjustable tables, lighting and power supply, pneumatics, mounting devices and ESD accessories.

MiniTec UK can advise and design complete workstation solutions or customers can develop their own designs using the free of charge iCAD Assembler software which includes a choice of standalone programming, requiring no CAD platform or specialist CAD knowledge, or can work in combination with their preferred CAD software system.
