Two new products which help to speed up and simplify the mounting and dismounting of rolling bearings are now available from Schaeffer UK. Both products will help to prevent unnecessary damage when mounting rolling bearings and will also increase worker safety on site.
The new FAG rolling bearing mounting tool kit offers quick, precise and safe mounting for small bearings with bore diameters ranging from 10 – 50mm. Where tight fitting inner or outer rings are to be driven onto a shaft or into a housing bore, hammer blows can be applied to an appropriate mounting sleeve with a mounting ring. The right combination of mounting sleeve and mounting ring ensures that the mounting forces are never transmitted via the rolling elements of the bearing, whilst also guaranteeing an even transmission of mounting forces to the bearings rings.
The FITTING.TOOL.ALU.SET10-50 is easy to use and can be used to mount a wide variety of rolling bearings. The tool kit contains 33 mounting rings of shock-resistant plastic, three mounting sleeves of a special design and one recoilless hammer with an anti-slip handle. This tool can also be used in conjunction with workshop power presses and can be operated by one person.
The PULLER.INTERNAL.SET 10-100 enables fitters to dismount deep groove ball bearings in the majority of cases without having to dismount the shaft as well. Consisting of six sets of extraction arms and two threaded spindles made of high grade steel, it is suitable for deep groove ball bearings with bore diameters from 10 – 100 mm.
The Puller Internal set is also easy to use and as it is lightweight only one person needs to be involved in the dismounting process. It also comes with a practical tool case for safe and convenient storage
