Phoenix Contact can now offer a variety of adapters to meet the increasing need for flexible sensor/actuator cabling, reducing the number of cable types that suppliers need to stock, as various adapters can be utilized for sensor connections.
The adapters are available in a variety of pin layouts and models, as M8-pin to M12-socket or vice versa. For quick wire connection, the adapter is equipped with M12 to M8 snap-in technology.
As an alternative to the Y-connectors, there is now a T-adapter that permits several directions for the cable leading out of the sensor and actuator box. As a result, the connection space available in the machine can be reduced. All adapters fulfil the requirements of Protection Class IP67 making them suitable for harsh industrial environments and machine
