TFC to demonstrate its wave spring expertise at SpringsTec Fair 2013

The leading technical fastener supplier TFC is exhibiting its flagship wave spring products at SpringsTec Fair, which takes place in Stuttgart on February 26-28 2013.

Extensive examples of these Smalley edge-wound products will be on view with engineers in attendance to demonstrate the advantages over conventional compression springs and to discuss your specific applications.

As a compact alternative to conventional helical coil springs, Crest-to-Crest wave springs develop similar forces, yet occupy just a third or less of the same axial space. With a uniform radial profile, Spirolox retaining rings can fit into tighter radial spaces than conventional circlips as there are no protruding lugs to interfere with the assembly.

Extensive examples of our Smalley products will be on view which can be produced to suit diameters between 6-2,000mm. They are available in a wide range of materials including carbon steel, AISI 17-7,302 and 316 stainless steels, Inconel, A286 and other exotic alloys.

Since all TFC's products are produced by 'edge-winding' they can be manufactured with short lead times but without expensive tooling costs and are ideal for small prototype production demands as well as for high volume requirements.
