Miniature Power PCB Relay Completes Sugar-Cube Range

Meeting requirements for low cost and optimal use of PCB space, a new miniature power PCB relay now completes Tyco Electronics' product range for 'Sugar Cube' type relays.

The T7S power PCB relay complements existing PB and T7N relays and is a very cost-effective solution for domestic appliances, heating control, building control as well as measurement and control applications.

Measuring only 19,2 x 15,3 x 15,5mm (W x H x D), saving valuable space on the PCB, the new T7S relay range is available in either flux proof or wash-tight versions as standard. All devices use AgZnO contacts and are fully RoHS compliant.

The 'WG' versions are constructed with materials which meet the requirements of IEC 60335.T7S relays feature a single contact with 10 or 6A current rating at either 85 or 105 degrees Celsius, a sensitive 360mW coil, a maximum switching voltage of 400VAC, a maximum breaking capacity of 2500VA and are available with 1CO or 1NO contact configuration.

Life expectancy for the standard type is 50,000 cycles at 10A up to 85 degrees Celsius or 100,000 cycles at 6A up to 105 degrees CelsiusFurther technical details of the new sugar cube power PCB relay series include: an operating temperature range from -40 up to +105 degrees Celsius; a typical operate / release time of 10 / 5ms; and vibration resistance of >14g for NO contact and > 8g for NC contact at 30 to 400Hz.Tyco is a trademark.
