Permabond launches a range of adhesives for composites

Permabond's new range of composite bonding adhesives caters for a variety of needs, from fast or slow cure, to low shrinkage and high temperature resistance.

New products include several single-part and two-part epoxy adhesives offering ultimate bond performance on substrates such as GRP, FRP and carbon fibre as well as a variety of different metal and plastic surfaces. Adhesives are offered with several colour options to match substrates, providing an aesthetically pleasing 'camouflaged' bond.

Permabond Engineering Adhesives is also offering its new 'Modified Epoxy' hybrid technology – soft and flexible epoxies with high elongation, high peel strength, toughness and durability. Their low shrinkage characteristics make them ideal for bonding thin gauge composites or metal skins which may be affected by witness marks or print-through.

Complementing this range, Permabond also has a number of structural acrylic and polyurethane adhesive products, all demonstrating excellent performance on composite materials.

A new composites brochure is available from the company, along with an iPhone and Android compatible app that gives impartial help and advice to design engineers working with composites and other materials.
