High precision motion control from Stober

Stober has released a new CoDeSys V3 based motion control system. The first members of the Generation 6 family includes the MC6 motion controller and the SD6 drive controllers in sizes 0, 1 and 2 for currents rated from 3 to 20A.

The drive controller features a 32 bit processor which reads the data from an EnDat 2.2 encoder with high precision and speed. Approximately 33 million positions per motor revolution can be determined by using this decoder. All Stober servomotors in the EZ series can be supplied with an EnDat 2.2 interface.

The compact, high performance MC6, which is available as a control cabinet PC or as a touch screen panel, can be used either as a pure motion controller or as an SPS, each with CoDeSys programming.

These new products will be unveiled at SPS/IPC Drives 2012 in Nuremberg later this month.
