Profil UK's new NBR plain studs have been developed specifically to provide precise component location during the automated assembly of new generation motor vehicles.
The heavy duty, 14 mm diameter x 40 mm long steel studs utilise the proven benefits of Profil's pierce fastening technology to provide high strength, water-tight fixings in both plain and coated structural panels, with an absolute positional accuracy of + 0.2 mm.
Like other Profil fasteners, the new NBR studs are designed for automatic insertion in pressed components as part of their production process. They are suitable for materials from 0.6 mm to 4.00 mm thick and allow vehicle manufacturers to take full advantage of latest modular assembly techniques.
