The accurate tightening of fasteners in restricted
spaces presents a real challenge for manufacturers. Inaccessible fasteners can often only be reached using improvised tools which lack any kind calibration or verifiable accuracy. But, thanks to the new Handtorque range from Norbar Tool Tools, limited access no longer means limited accuracy.
The Handtorque HT-52 is the world's smallest 1,000Nm torque multiplier, designed to deliver superb accuracy where access is impossible using a conventional torque wrench or bulky torque multipliers.
It offers the same calibrated performance that users expect from Norbar Torque Tools' products, but in a compact and durable unit that allows fasteners with limited access to be tightened with a guaranteed multiplication accuracy better than ± 4%.
For maximum versatility the Handtorque HT-52 is fully compatible with manual torque wrenches or with torque-controlled angle nut runners. Alongside the new HT-52, Norbar has enhanced its existing 2,000Nm multiplier.
The new upgraded multiplier, now known as the HT-72, is based around the same weight saving design as the HT-52. But by replacing the steel reaction plate with tool-grade aluminium, Norbar have reduced the weight of the HT-72 by over 1kg, making it 25% lighter than its predecessor.
The HT-72 can be fitted with electronic torque transducers for precision torque monitoring and it is available in a variety of ratios, output drive sizes and reaction styles.
Smaller, lighter and allowing better access, the new Handtorque range ensures that Norbar Torque Tools' customers will never be stuck in a corner when it comes to the accurate tightening of restricted access fasteners.
