Mayr extends torque range of its ROBA-contitorque units

Mayr’s range of ROBA-contitorque permanent magnet hysteresis clutch/brake units has been expanded with the introduction of the new size 5 unit.

This has increased the slip torque range, which is now from 0.1Nm to 12Nm.

ROBA-contitorque offers wear free and reliable torque limitation for use in continuous slip applications. Unlike friction type devices, torque is transmitted without contact via magnetic forces which greatly extends service life and ensures extremely accurate and repeatable slip torque values.

ROBA-contitorque offers a maintenance free solution to load holding, tensioning or torque limiting applications and its compact design, low weight and mass moment of inertia allows easy integration into a wide range of applications.

ROBA-contitorque is in operation across the globe in diverse applications ranging from bottle capping to railway points machines. The optional sealed and corrosion protected version ensures that we can offer a unit that can operate in almost any environment.
