HBM has launched version 1.1 of its catman Easy measurement software for data acquisition and analysis with two new integrated modules providing mathematics functions and PC Card measurement. Special update offers are available from HBM enabling catman users to benefit from these new functions.
Using the PC Card in the MGCplus allows data to be acquired easily and directly onto a PCMCIA hard disk or a flash card in the MGCplus amplifier system. Once the data has been acquired measurements can be completed either using the stand-alone method without a PC or the parallel measurement method using both the redundant measurement on PC Card in MGCplus and the hard disk in the PC.
If a user connects to a MGCplus during an on-going PC Card measurement, the status is displayed and enables data acquisition in the device to be monitored. Measured data stored on the PC Card can be exported using different formats for subsequent analysis.
The latest Mathematics module includes the following functions: free computations, frequency analysis, filter and floating average, and strain gages in experimental stress analysis for easily analyzing measured data.
