The Best In Industrial Ethernet Switch Technologies For Harsh Environments

Developed by Amphenol - an expert in design solutions for the harshest environments - this switch combines state-of-the-art networking features with cost-effectiveness. This rugged & waterproof Ethernet switch offers 8 ports that can withstand a variety of extreme conditions: high temperatures, extreme shocks & vibrations, dust particles and even liquid immersion.

The versatile switch allows electronics to be sealed within a waterproof IP67 plastic enclosure (for highly corrosive environments), a cabinet IP30 version or a waterproof IP67 metallic enclosure (suitable for shocks and extreme EMI-RFI environments).

From the RJ FIELD product series, the I/O interfaces are rugged waterproof RJ45 connectors: RJF (bayonet coupling, metal shell) and RJF EZ rectangular plastic (quick lever coupling). The Amphenol patented RJStop(r) connection system enables the simple and quick conversion of any standard RJ45 cord set in an IP67 connection and protects from shocks, dust and fluids.

Proven electronics enhance reliability while offering economic efficiency. An even higher reliability thanks to advanced administration featuresThe 6008 version offers such advanced administration features as: fast redundant ring topology (Recovery time < 300 ms), automatic alarm via relay output or e-mail (configuration defined by the system manager), management via web Interface or telnet interface, network parameter management, port mirroring.

The 508 version (Elite Managed Switch) adds: IGMP snooping, VLAN, Quality of Service, Port Locking, 2 digital inputs, and other advanced features.Unmanaged versions are also available. The RJ-Switch range is the widest on the market in terms of sealing and administration options.

The RJ-Switch fulfils the reliability requirements of critical Ethernet networks and will fit to the following indoor and outdoor industrial applications: factory automation, robotics, process control, transportation systems, data acquisition and transmission.
