Aseptic motors
Danfoss Motion Controls has introduced aseptic motors that are suitable
for hygienic duties in food and beverage production and packaging plants.
The units have no fans and cooling ribs, which would otherwise trap
product and other residues, while the non-drive end is completely sealed
and smooth-contoured. The standard connection box has been replaced by a
stainless steel plug and socket connector, which preserves the motor's
overall hygienic design. The motors can be used in conjunction with
Danfoss Bauer 2000 bevel gear units, and like the motors, these IP65
sealed units are designed for frequent alkali wash-down.
