Vane Motor Runs On Water For Food Processors

Danfoss’ ‘Nessie’ MVM 160 water hydraulic vane motor provides smooth low speed operation and high starting torque for duties in the food processing and packaging industries. As the motor is powered by ordinary tap water, there is no risk of oil contamination; moreover, the absence of electricity removes the threat of electrocution. The MVM 160 has a speed range of 15-200rpm and a maximum torque of 100Nm. It can operate at pressures up to 50bar, with a corresponding maximum power output of 2.5kW, and has stainless steel, easy-to-clean, corrosion-resistant surfaces.
