Cable management innovations from igus

The Machine Building 2007 exhibition takes place at the NEC on February 14 and 15. You can pre-register for this event at www.machinebuilding.co.uk

igus will be promoting its latest stainless steel linear guide, a new wear resistant Energy Chain and a range of harnessed drive cables (illustrated) at this year’s show. The stainless steel version of its DryLin W linear guide is suitable for corrosive enviroments and was designed principally for the food process and packaging industries, as well as for chemically exposed and underwater applications.

The company’s magnetic LeviChain ‘floats’ in a magnetic force field and is therefore almost completely wear-proof. This Energy Chain guides and protects cables moving over long distances
igus now provides harnessed drive and sensor cables for Fanuc drives in three different mechanical load qualities and in any length. The company already supplies similar cable systems for Siemens, Indramat and Lenze.

Users of servo drives are relying increasingly on pre-harnessed cables in machine and plant engineering, and Chainflex cables are particularly suited to these demanding dynamic applications.
