Omega demonstrates manufacturing capabilities with innovative ‘patch’ sensors

Readers are reminded that the popular sensors, measurement and instrumentation exhibition, mtec, takes place at the NEC on February 14 and 15 2007. You can pre-register for this event at www.mtecexhibition.co.uk

Omega Engineering has been manufacturing in Manchester for ten years and plans to mark the occasion with an open day in March. In the meantime, the company will use mtec 2007 to demonstrate its manufacturing capabilities with the launch of two new temperature sensor products. The P-T-A-T-2M and K-C-I-T-2M self-adhesive patch sensor ranges include Pt100, thermocouples and thermistors, mounted in two patch styles for either curved or flat surfaces. The ultra-slim, rubber mounting patch is colour coded for easy sensor recognition, and is resistant to a variety of chemicals and lubricants.

Omega is a specialist in the design and manufacture of fine diameter thermocouples. The company will take advantage of the show to launch a new range of 0.25 and 0.50mm transition junction style probes manufactured from its proprietary OmegaCXLAD XL material.
