High power from a small package: the new compact D-Frame from Danfoss

Customers are demanding a higher efficiency from drive technology. High power applications can offer a quick return on investment by minimising the losses in the drive itself. VLT frequency converters now offer an extremely high efficiency rating of over 98%. The next generation D-Frame version of the VLT Automation Drive, AQUA Drive and HVAC Drive is now available in the 90 to 315kW power range, with improved heat management for increased efficiency.

The new D-Frame VLT requires less panel or wall space than previous models, which were already among the smallest in their class, adding installation flexibility while reducing installation costs. The size of the new enclosure has been reduced by up to 68%, making it easier to upgrade and retrofit.
