Push-lock fasteners for panel builders

Anixter has added two new panel fasteners to its range, including a push-lock access unit and a quarter-turn captive device. The one-piece push-lock panel fastener just needs a pre-formed hole into which it is easily snapped - no bolts, rivets or other fastener is required.

The internal spring and latch mechanism captures a mating strike (usually formed into the panel door) as the door is closed. The latch is released by gently pushing the door towards the closed position, whereupon the spring pushes back and releases the strike.

The reusable quarter-turn panel fastener also snaps into position within a pre-formed hole. Once inserted, the pin can be depressed to lock the fastener in place. A quarter turn releases the panels, the part remaining captive in the removable panel.
