Advanex claims the world's smallest micro spring and is working towards even smaller components
Previously it was thought that a micro spring of 30µm wire diameter and a 90µm inside diameter was the worlds’ smallest spring. Through its own research and development, however, Advanex has been able to produce a working spring with a wire diameter of just 15µm and an inside diameter of 45µm. Further work is now underway to produce a micro spring with a 9µm diameter wire and an inside diameter of 30µm.
