Bearings ensure fast, safe elevator ride in record-breaking building

NSK traction motor bearings are being used on both the drive and brake sides of the elevator motors installed in what is currently the world's tallest building - the Taipei 101 building in Taiwan. Primarily developed for Japan's Bullet Train, these bearings are designed for severe duties, where high radial and impact loads and high speeds are the order of the day. These elevators are also the fastest in the world, ascending at rates of 60.6km/h.
