The latest version (3) of DAS-Wizard from Measurement Computing (MC) offers an easy-to-use tool that lets you transfer measurement data from any MC USB based data acquisition hardware, PCI/PCMCIA/ISA cards or PC/104 devices, directly into Microsoft Excel worksheets - quite possible the most widely used software for data acquisition. Supplied and Supported in the UK by Adept Scientific, DAS Wizard is a powerful add-in for Excel 2000 and later. It allows you to place acquired data directly into the spreadsheet cells or, conversely, output data from the spreadsheet to an analogue or digital output board.
The data can be in the form of A/D counts, volts or temperature. The A/D counts may be converted into any type of engineering units, and basic analyses carried out using Excel's own built-in functions. A simple dialogue box lets you configure the data acquisition board and set the range of spreadsheet cells. With DAS-Wizard 3, not a single line of code needs to be written by the user to perform any data acquisition task.
