Radial shaft seals for high pressure applications

Radial shaft seals manufactured from elastomer compounds have not been a first choice for high pressure applications, because the resulting high radial forces cause abrasion, high loss moments and high friction temperatures – all or each of which may lead to premature failure.
Ceetak believes it has the answer to these problems in its VR series seal, which requires considerably less radial force to form an effective and integrated sealing face – just one third that of conventional rotary sealing components. Material stresses are correspondingly reduced, increasing service life.
