Dichtomatik has released a range of Teflon FEP-encapsulated silicone and Viton gaskets from 0.75in to 4in nominal sizes for use with cam-lock and quick-release pipeline couplings. This combination of materials provides a high degree of chemical resistance and good seal contact performance, coupled with a wide -60oC to +204oC temperature range. The core material properties – including elastomeric memory and flexibility, resistance to embrittlement, hardening and compression set – ensure that these seals outperform products made from fluoroelastomer, rubber and even solid PTFE.
